Guitar Lessons - Audio Engineering
Have you ever thought about learning the guitar or piano or how to write and record a song from an experienced, qualified instructor? Summertime is a great time to learn to play. Here at DreamCatcher Music Studio we specialize in guitar lessons and audio engineering, striving to help you succeed in your musical goals. We can even record your audio tracks.
In my class, or private lesson, you will learn one-on-one the language of music. We begin with the major and minor chords and how to transition from one to another in a fun and efficient manner; all while learning songs that you want to play. We then study fingerpicking technique as well as how to use a pick so that your style begins to become more multifaceted. As we go, we will discover how to make any chord we want; and figure out what that strange chord you made up on your own is called.
It's Not Hard!
It just takes practice! It also helps to have a patient, qualified instructor to make sure you’re doing it right, and making progress so you don’t get stuck. I’ve been lucky enough to have had many wonderful music teachers myself, I’m very proud to say!
As you gain proficiency in your skills we step into scales which enable us to play melodies, solos and understand why certain things work better than others. We eventually work on transitioning up and down the fretboard or keyboard – sliding and shifting
between patterns which will put you in step with the big boys.
For more advanced students we unravel the mystery of key signatures and how they apply as well as the techniques which allow for better recall of these slippery subjects. We also study inversions, modes and how to get the best out of your playing style.

As we continue on this journey together we will learn how songs are made and how to write songs that are important to our expression, containing all the components which make up the songs we like. Writing music can free our minds from worries of the world as we process our inner thoughts and feelings in new directions.

When your song is written DreamCatcher Music Studio is a great place to bring your tracks to fruition. It can take many years of experience to learn how to take a song from basic tracks to a finished product. I have been recording in Pro Tools since 2007 and recording analog for much, much longer and can help you arrange, record, mix and master your tracks into songs you’ll want to play for eveyone! Furthermore, I can teach you the best way to get started should you want to learn the art of audio engineering.
